ABOUT BACI

The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) supports 600 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families, by providing various recreational, training and development opportunities.  In addition to our six child care centers, we operate sixteen supported housing complexes in Burnaby – enabling almost 200 adults with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives. 

At BACI, our employees play a key role in the quality of services we provide.  We offer employment opportunities in child care, youth and adult services. 

If you have training, experience and/or an interest in working with individuals with disabilities, we have a variety of positions currently available, including:
• residential and day support workers for adults with disabilities
• ECE and Out-of-school-care workers for children

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Community College Diploma in Human Services, Education or other related fields, or an equivalent of education and experience may be considered. Please note that a valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate and BC Driver’s licence will be required upon hire.

Job Requirements:
The successful applicant will be required to have a Criminal Record and driver’s abstract completed and reviewed by the Executive Director, provide a letter from a physician stating you are fit for work, have a clear TB test and the ability to obtain a class 4 driver’s licence.

Having the ability to work with individuals who may display challenging behaviours and use alternate communication methods, or know American Sign Language is a definite asset.
