The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) supports
600 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and
their families, by providing various recreational, training and
development opportunities. In addition to our six child care
centers, we operate sixteen supported housing complexes in Burnaby
– enabling almost 200 adults with disabilities to live
more independent and fulfilling lives.
If you have training, experience and/or an interest in working
with individuals with disabilities, BACI has a variety
of positions available in Burnaby, including:
• residential and day support workers for
adults with disabilities
• ECE and Out-of-school-care workers for
children
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Community College Diploma in Human
Services, Education or other related fields, or an equivalent of
education and experience may be considered. Please note that a
valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate and BC
Driver’s licence will be required upon hire.
Job Requirements:
The successful applicant will be required to have a Criminal Record
and driver’s abstract completed and reviewed by the
Executive Director, provide a letter from a physician stating you
are fit for work, have a clear TB test and the ability to obtain a
class 4 driver’s licence.
Having the ability to work with individuals who may display
challenging behaviours and use alternate communication methods, or
know American Sign Language is a definite asset.
